AWARDS
Each year Emma’s Trust aims to give £10,000 and since we began in 2005 we’re delighted to have supported so many young people. Listed below are some of those the Trust has helped. We are most grateful to all those who have sent us news of their achievements and progress.
Bethany & Lydia Locke - singing lessons
“I would like to thank you so much for your kindness and generosity and so much appreciate all the hard work and organisation involved in the fund raising. My girls are thrilled...they adore their singing and acting but as I have given up work as a teacher to work with my severely autistic son this help is fantastic as it will enable my girls to continue with their passion. Bethany and Lydia have read about Emma and we are all deeply inspired by this beautiful and talented young lady. Again thank you so much”. Dawn Locke
Lido Dip ’n Chill
The Trust helped fund free summer evening swimming sessions for young people at Chipping Norton Lido. The Dip ‘n Chill nights ran every Tuesday evening throughout June, July and August and were free of charge to all 11 – 18 year-olds. The sessions were initiated in direct response to local concerns about lack of facilities for young people. Our contributions have also helped fund the purchase of new pool games and a barbecue.

Kiri Wreyford
“The award that you gave my daughter, Kiri Wreyford, made it possible for her to continue with her dance training. I would not otherwise have had the money to pay for her classes. She and I remain very grateful to you. I would like to emphasise our appreciation”. Following Kiri's audition at The Royal Ballet School, she has been offered a full time place there.
Tom Butler
In October 2007 Tom won his 1st title to become BKSA Junior Wave Master Champion. He hopes one day to become a professional kitesurfer. His Mum & Dad wrote, “The grant that Emma's Trust gave Tom last year has helped immensely”.
Michelle & Niki Sole have both been consistently achieving top results in Slalom and Giant Slalom. In April 2008 Michelle was 1st British female at the Scottish National Championship. She says, "I could not have achieved this without your continued help and support".
Josephine Organ-Jennings receiving one of two trophies at The Oxford Festival concert in February 2007. Josephine has just received a distinction for the DipABRSM in Singing Music Performance and her Mum wrote, “The extra lessons that you paid for were to support her in this exam so we thank you once again very much”.
Kelwin Miles’ ambition is to play professional rugby union. He trains at Wasps and plays for Middlesex County. He writes, “I know it is a long ladder to climb to reach the top of what you want in life, but I know I have climbed a few steps of my ladder, who knows how many steps I can climb? I would like to give a big thank you to Emma’s Trust for their support in the 2006/07 season, which has helped make this happen for me”.
