Sunday 28 September 2008 Emmas Day
Last years Emmas Day, held in and around Chipping Norton was a resounding success. That was the view of the hundreds of people who flocked to take part in the fun day. Market stalls, bouncy rides, live music and even the sun shone all adding up to a memorable Sunday in Chippy!
The Town Hall hosted childrens workshops and youth bands, the Leisure centre had a Play bus and climbing wall as well as a 5-a-side football competition. Pubs hosted live bands and the Theatre showcased a number of talented youngsters who have benefited from awards from Emmas Trust.
We are truly grateful to everyone who helped, performed or came along to support us and contributed to the spectacular 9,319.73 raised.

Jane's 100 comes out of the blue!
Jane Hall, from Over Norton was also busy raising money, by leaping out of a plane! She very kindly donated 100 to Emmas Trust. Jane wrote: The jump was sponsored by Nivea to promote a new range of cosmetics designed for women over fifty. The women, who came from all over the country, were over fifty and one was eighty-eight! It was an exciting, exhilarating and terrifying experience and, as you will see from the photo, I even managed to smile on the way down, due mainly to the reassurance given by my instructor Ricky.

Simon & John Go All the Way!
Simon Day and John Prince from Leamington Spa cycled from Lands End to John OGroats during the September last year. They very generously chose Emmas Trust to support and raised 733.50! Simon wrote:
We started out wanting to do it just as a challenge to ourselves, but decided that we'd really like to raise some money for a good cause. Neither of us has any particular connection to a specific cause or organisation, so we started having a browse on Justgiving.com and found Emma's Trust. When we were talking about the sort of charity we would like to raise money for, we both agreed that we would like if possible to give young people who needed it, the chance to take part in some of the things we were lucky enough to enjoy ourselves.
