AWARDS
Each year Emma’s Trust aims to give £10,000 and since we began in 2005 we’re delighted to have supported so many young people. Listed below are some of those the Trust has helped. We are most grateful to all those who have sent us news of their achievements and progress.

Hollie and Mitchell Roberts - Karate
Hollie & Mitchell recently attended the World Karate Championships in Brazil, their parents Dave & Sharron wrote: "They both had a fantastic experience in Brazil which would not have been possible without the extremely generous grant from Emma's Trust. We cannot thank-you enough for being instrumental in making it possible for them to achieve their dreams & goals...Mitchell won 1 Silver & 1 Bronze medal & Hollie won 3 Gold medals. A fantastic achievement by both of them, especially in the Kata where previously the best any England competitor had achieved at the World Championships was Bronze (This includes the Senior England Squad).
Megan Wood - Canoeing
Thanks to Emma's Trust, Meagan has bought a new light weight carbon kevlar canoe. This has helped her improve her performance and reach the higher divisions in National and Regional races. She trains incredibly hard, 4 times a week to improve her fitness and mileage, both sprint paddling and marathons. Megan is doing A level PE and her canoeing will play an important part of her practical assessment.
Lido Dip ’n Chill
The Trust helped fund free summer evening swimming sessions for young people at Chipping Norton Lido. The Dip ‘n Chill nights ran every Tuesday evening throughout June, July and August and were free of charge to all 11 – 18 year-olds. The sessions were initiated in direct response to local concerns about lack of facilities for young people. Emma’s Trust contributions have also helped fund the purchase of new pool games and a barbecue. (click here to watch movie)

Ginny with Cavort, her top horse has just competed at this years prestigeous Badminton event. She has aspirations of joining Team GB at the 2012 Olympics. (click here to watch movie)
Chadlington Cricket Club - New Practice Net
“Our thanks and appreciation for Emma's Trust most kind and helpful donation which permitted us to buy the net. It has been in constant use ever since its arrival and is a great asset to Chadlington Cricket Club and will contribute hugely to the development of cricket for both youngsters and adults in the village”. Bethany & Lydia Locke - singing lessons
“I would like to thank you so much for your kindness and generosity and so much appreciate all the hard work and organisation involved in the fund raising. My girls are thrilled...they adore their singing and acting but as I have given up work as a teacher to work with my severely autistic son this help is fantastic as it will enable my girls to continue with their passion. Bethany and Lydia have read about Emma and we are all deeply inspired by this beautiful and talented young lady. Again thank you so much”. Dawn Locke
Kiri Wreyford
“The award that you gave my daughter, Kiri Wreyford, made it possible for her to continue with her dance training. I would not otherwise have had the money to pay for her classes. She and I remain very grateful to you. I would like to emphasise our appreciation”. Following Kiri's audition at The Royal Ballet School, she has been offered a full time place there.
Tom Butler
In October 2007 Tom won his 1st title to become BKSA Junior Wave Master Champion. He hopes one day to become a professional kitesurfer. His Mum & Dad wrote, “The grant that Emma's Trust gave Tom last year has helped immensely”.
Josephine Organ-Jennings receiving one of two trophies at The Oxford Festival concert in February 2007. Josephine has just received a distinction for the DipABRSM in Singing Music Performance and her Mum wrote, “The extra lessons that you paid for were to support her in this exam so we thank you once again very much”.
